Sourced from photos dating back to 2015, this collection of portraits is butterface heaven. They show how naturally we communicate through our mannerisms, postures, ornaments, and actions. In these moments, body language tells us all we need to know; identities are all wrapped up in action and inaction. Typically, a body without a face seems mysterious. We use the face to try and guess what people are thinking, how they're feeling. In these photos, who the subjects are and what they do are the same thing. Asking "who is that?" won't tell you any more than you already know just by looking. Physiology translates itself; our bodies speak and understand every language. Photos by Armando Nin.
