The Hackle Suit

Odile Marion-Jetten

With The Hackle Suit, I wanted to give the wearer's shoulders a broader appearance, inspired by the power suits of the 80s, which were intended to visually allow women to take up more space in the workplace. With its fabric scales curling up, resembling an armor or the hackle of an animal – e.g. the erectile hair or plumage in the neck area of certain birds and mammals – , this piece materializes with the body in different ways.
