Assyrians are an Iraqi Indigenous group that has face diaspora through their displacement. As a first generation Assyrian born in America, I feel like I am in a "cultural limbo" where my identity does not feel enough for either side. I created a traditional Assyrian fiber piece called a "Yalliktah”, a noise maker that is used for celebration, to celebrate my diaspora in order to heal my identity and having the augmented reality aspect represent the "cultural limbo".
